Quantum computing company Orca Computing in the U.K. and ParTec, a German high-performance computing and AI supercomputing developer, are partnering to provide access to accelerated HPC and AI architectures.
The collaboration aims to target quantum-enhanced AI applications by integrating Orca’s photonic quantum systems into ParTec’s AI Factory infrastructure, targeting new sectors, including mobility, transport, aerospace, and satellite operations.
The partnership’s first deployments would be at two major European supercomputing installations: The Elbjuwel system at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf and the Vesuvio system at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. Both installations are set to rank among the world’s largest supercomputers.
